XG Firewall v17.1 is here…

XG Firewall v17.1 has arrived, and with it comes visibility to the dark corners of your network, along with some of your top requested features.

What’s New

The new Cloud Application Visibility widget provides at-a-glance insight into where your data is going in the cloud.

This feature turns XG Firewall into a Cloud Application Security Broker (CASB) to help you quickly identify shadow IT in the cloud, alert you to undesirable and unauthorized behavior, and give you the application control to manage it all in just a few clicks.

See the Shadow IT discovery in action, and all the other new features in XG Firewall v17.1:

For a detailed look at all of the new features and enhancements in v17.1 take a look at the XG Firewall Knowledge Base or download the What’s New in XG Firewall v17.1 list.

How to get it

The release is available for anyone that wants to update right away via MySophos. (Check out the Getting Started video to learn how to download and apply the latest firmware.)

Alternatively, it will be rolled out automatically in stages over the coming weeks to all firewalls, so keep an eye out for the notification in your XG Firewall management console.

Make the most out of your XG Firewall

To help you take advantage of all these great features we’ve also launched two new resource pages, the XG Firewall Support Page and the XG Firewall How-to Library. With content for those just getting started with XG right up to experienced pros, these pages are designed to support all users.
