Twitter isn’t sending verification code for login and so I’ve been locked out of my account for a week now. Please let me know if anyone seeing this has any idea of how I could retain my account.

I suspect that contacting Twitter and going through a (possibly lengthy) process of establishing your connection to the account is the thing to try next.
