These days it’s difficult to know what’s more complex: malware or the systems protecting you against it. Security providers have become obsessed with recommending an ever increasing array of security products held together by little more than industry buzzwords. When the dust settles you’re left with a network that is so complex you have no idea if it’s actually secure or not. All of this makes your life harder and certainly doesn’t make your users very happy.
At Sophos we recognize that the answer to complexity is not more complexity. And today we return to our roots with a new tagline, “Security made simple.”
I should be clear that this is much more than a tagline, it’s our way of life. We are evaluating every product, every policy, and every interaction to make sure it’s simple. Today we launched a new website that makes it easier to find the information you need. We’ve redesigned and rethought every pixel of every page to make sure you can find the information you need, quickly. In addition to a simpler design we’ve actually cut the number of pages from more than 2,000 to around 100. It’s all about keeping it simple.
And the website is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks and months, you should see additional areas (product engineering, partner programs, licensing, etc.) where we’ve made strides toward simplicity. At Sophos, it’s our passion to deliver the most powerful security technology available in the most frictionless, simplified manner possible.
