IT facilities for Roparun 2014
Contec, one of Sophos’ distributors in the Benelux, is one of this years supporters of the 2014 Roparun. Just as it did during the previous editions, Contec is supporting the annual charity event by providing free network devices and IT knowledge. A count-down application was especially developed for the start of this 23rd edition of the relay-race. This enables all groups to start precisely on time.
Furthermore, custom software was developed to provide secure internet connection for the organization, press and attending VIP guests in Paris, Hamburg and Rotterdam. All of these facilities are realized by using hardware and software developed by Sophos.
The Roparun
The Roparun is a relay-race of approximately 520 kilometres during which teams of people raise money for people battling cancer. The start of the race is on June 7th in Paris and Hamburg. On Monday June 9th, the runners finish on the Coolsingel in Rotterdam.
