Sophos Day Belux 2014: inspiring, interactive and simple
On November 25th 2014, we organized our second edition of the Sophos Day Belux 2014. The day is a great networking opportunity for Sophos, our partners, distributors, customers, prospective partners and prospective customers as well. Or basically anyone who wants to learn more about cybersecurity. The event attracted well over 70 visitors, nearly doubling the attendance of last year’s edition. This is a great indication for Sophos that we’re doing things right and are heading in the right direction.
2014: a year in review and looking ahead
The day included four presentations in total. During the first presentation, Jorn Lutters of Sophos glanced back together with the audience at what 2014 brought us in the field of IT-security. What threats emerged in 2014 and what cybersecurity news grabbed the headlines during the last 10 months? And how do we protect ourselves against these threats? Next to Jorn, our very own Vincent Vanbiervliet offered the answer to these questions. How do you secure yourself using Sophos? The day ended with an interactive presentation/demonstration of several client-side threats and attacks. Malik Mesellem demonstrated what happens when your network is hacked and attacked by cybercriminals.
