Sophos employees across the globe have continued to demonstrate generosity and community action to thank, help, and support those in need during another very challenging year, either through employee volunteering or numerous fundraising efforts.
As we head into the season of giving, Sophos would like to support and encourage the efforts of our global team by offering a matching contribution program. Our goal is to donate a total of USD $100k through either direct donations or matching contributions between November 30 and December 31, 2021. We have identified several organizations and causes that we will support in our local communities. Your local HR team will shortly be sending regional communications to explain how to donate and the organizations we are supporting in your location.
Our matching contribution means you will have double the impact and can continue to give back to communities and causes in a safe way while social distancing measures are still widely practiced. Here is a selection of the important causes we are supporting globally through matching:
APJ
- R U OK? Australia, a harm prevention organization that empowers people to meaningfully connect and support someone who is struggling with life
- Limitless Singapore, which provides counseling, group work, and outreach programs for young people aged 12 – 25 that are impacted by poverty, mental illness, and social inequality
- The Makati Medical Center Foundation, which supports less fortunate patients by funding programs such as psychosocial support for front liners, the adopt-a-patient program, and blood donations
- NPO Tokyo Mental Health Square, which provides group communication and counseling services for people with concerns and anxieties

India
Since 2016, Sophos has invested heavily in the corporate social responsibility efforts in India. We have worked extensively to uplift Ropada village by building roads, providing water and drainage systems, building a primary school, and funding children books, uniforms, and school fees. Our vision is to nurture future generations through education, nutrition, and hygiene. With this commitment, we’re donating USD $24,000 to the following organizations, which aim to improve the education and health of socio-economically disadvantaged children in India. We welcome employees to join us in supporting these causes:
Employees have continued to use Sophos Employee Volunteering (up to 40 hours) to help those facing adversity during the pandemic.
