The bitpay issue was more due to not calling the person when sending stupid large amounts of £400k money at a time, as they purely only relied on email and is not verifiable and should of called them (no 2FA was used) it was spoken about it at 3:50,
just from that point there i would of VOIDed the insurance right there and rejected any claim that they was hacked, as they was not hacked they was social engineered into giving the money away (yes they got into the another person’s PC but they at no point verified that they was talking to a real person) as to why they are calling it an indirect hack as bitpay was not hacked they was tricked social engineered into willingly give away all the bitcoins without verifying it was a real person (as voiced in this chetchat)
