Commemorating Our Military Veterans

November 11 offers a moment of reflection around the world to commemorate, thank, and honor those who served our countries.

November 11 offers a moment of reflection around the world to commemorate, thank, and honor those who served our countries.

Across the globe, the day on which we remember our military veterans is known by different names and may fall on a different day of the year. However, there is one shared goal, which is to bring together people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures to commemorate and recognize all military veterans that have served.

Our Commitment to Military Veterans

Sophos values the skills veterans can bring to our workforce and we are committed to hiring and retaining military veterans, as well as providing them with a supportive work environment throughout every step of their career. Our Military Veterans Network provides support for military veterans who have already joined Sophos or those who may be interested in starting a career within cybersecurity.

As well as working with Sophos hiring managers, the Military Veterans Network also raises awareness of recruiting veterans by partnering with global veterans’ organizations that support veteran education and job placement. The ERG offers advice on how existing skills and experiences can transfer to a career at Sophos. This year the Military Veterans Network is working with Wounded Warriors so that veterans can explore a potential career with Sophos.

The Military Veterans Network is also supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal 2021. Military Veteran Network member, Joanna Watkins, will be taking part in the run to help raise funds for life-changing support to the Armed Forces community.

Please join us as we recognize, thank, and honor all military veterans that have served, and who continue to support their communities during the pandemic.
