Celebrating Pride 2021 at Sophos

Pride month is a time to celebrate diversity, to show support of our LGBTQ+ community at Sophos, and to demonstrate our commitment to providing a work environment where all employees have the freedom to be themselves.

Pride month is a time to celebrate diversity, to show support of our LGBTQ+ community at Sophos, and to demonstrate our commitment to providing a work environment where all employees have the freedom to be themselves.

To mark Pride month across Sophos, our LGBTQ+ Network has created a host of events and online resources to help inform employees about the history of Pride and the issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community, and to inject some color and fun as we continue to build an inclusive culture across all our global sites.

As well as our Pride 2021 Hub page, our dedicated r LGBTQ+ Network Hub page offers employees a host of information, including resources for support in coming out or transitioning in the workplace, and LGBTQ+-related work policies and glossary of LGBTQ+ terms.

Our month of Pride celebrations include:

  • The Sophos Virtual Drag Show, covering the history of the LGBTQ+ community, drag stars, cabaret, performing artists, and live musical acts.
  • Pride Trivia Game
  • Online library of reading resources to share with children to help foster early conversations and understanding.
  • Pride Playlist for some suggested songs to accompany your Pride festivities at home.

As a company, we will be making donations to the following charities that support the LGBTQ+ community:

  • AKT, who support LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment.
  • Rainbow Railroad, who help LGBTQ+ individuals to access lives free from persecution.
  • PFLAG, an organization that supports LGBTQ+ people, their parents, families, and allies.

Happy Pride month from our team to yours!
