We’ve created a comprehensive library of “How To” videos to help you get the most out of your XG Firewall, including a series of Getting Started and Networking videos.
Today, I’d like to share a short Getting Started video that walks you through how to back up and restore an XG Firewall configuration, as well as how to reset the XG Firewall to factory defaults, in the same or a different language if necessary.
In this video, we’ll show you how to:
- Navigate to the backup and restore tools in the System > Administration menu
- Perform backups on demand, or on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule
- Select where you want your backups stored – local, FTP or email
- Set a prefix for your backup file names
- Download the most recent backup
- Restore a backup
- Reset a system to factory default settings
- Change the language used in the admin console
You can watch the entire Getting Started video series on the Sophos Products YouTube channel. And you can check out all the posts in this XG Firewall “How To” series on the Sophos Blog.
