Anyone interested in privacy matters is welcome to come for the discussion, or simply to relax and get to know other people with practical or personal involvements in privacy issues.
These Privacy After Hours events are being organised by members of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). There is typically no formal structure, just an evening with some new friends.
I will be hosting one of these events in the Pitcher & Piano in Reading, UK. For those commuting by train past Reading or who are a short hop away along the line, why not make a stopover on your way home?
Just walk from Reading station along Station Road and the Pitcher & Piano is within 100 meters on the left. As this is Reading’s first ever Privacy After Hours event, there will be hot snacks and chips provided throughout the evening to give a warm welcome and to provide encouragement for you to come along and join us.
Arrive any time from 5:30 pm onwards and let’s see if we can’t make this an event worth repeating!
Please RSVP now to register for the Reading or other locations. Though you are welcome to drop by anyway, registering will help us judge how many to expect.
Privacy After Hours events are taking place in a few other UK cities, multiple cities in the U.S., and in several other countries. To see if there’s an event in your area, visit privacyassociation.org.
