Sophos welcomes two network security leaders to our management team

nsgToday we’re excited to announce the appointment of the two newest members of our senior management team.

We’re pleased to welcome Bryan Barney as senior vice president and general manager of the Sophos Network Security Group; and Karl-Heinz Warum as regional vice president of sales for Germany, Northern and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

With these appointments, we’re continuing to build for long term growth as the channel-centric IT security provider of choice for small and mid-market customers, and pragmatic enterprises of any size.

Bryan will run the Network Security Group for Sophos, with full product responsibility for UTM, advanced threat protection, wireless and next-generation firewall. He joins Sophos after nearly 12 years at McAfee. He last served as executive vice president of product development.

Karl-Heinz becomes the Sophos sales leader for NEMEA, and will be responsible for recruiting and enabling Sophos Partners in the region. He joins Sophos from Dell, where he served as director of channel sales for Germany.

Sophos CEO Kris Hagerman said these appointments show our ability to attract the best people in the security industry.

“Our ability to attract such top talent speaks volumes about the opportunity ahead for Sophos,” Kris said.
