Android users take note: AV-Test reviews Sophos Mobile Security 3.0

In its latest round of product reviews, AV-Test gave high marks to Sophos Mobile Security version 3.0, our free antivirus app for Android smartphones and tablets. We passed the evaluation to earn AV-Test certification, scoring well in all categories: protection, usability, and feature-set.

Sophos Mobile Security detected 99.9% of the more than 2,000 malicious apps included in the test, earning us a 5.5 out of 6 in the protection category.

In the usability category, AV-Test gave Sophos Mobile Security a score of 6 out of 6, noting that the app does not slow down the device during normal usage; does not impact battery life; and does not generate too much traffic.

AV-Test also recognized Sophos Mobile Security for its comprehensive feature-set, including: remote locate/lock/wipe capability; call blocker; anti-spam; safe browsing; and data protection.
