What an exciting and rewarding year it’s been for us at Sophos. It seems like just yesterday we were planning all the great things we wanted to do in 2013. Yet here we are, planning and preparing for another new year. Before we go full speed ahead into 2014, let’s take a look back at some of the biggest successes of the past year.
From creating a new website and a fresh new look and feel to our brand, and opening a new office in Silicon Valley; to launching innovative new products like Sophos Cloud that have earned outstanding reviews, and expanding and improving our award-winning Partner Program, here are the top highlights of 2013.
We introduced Sophos Cloud
When we started developing Sophos Cloud, our mantra was “security that just works.” Every decision about what to include came down to what the user really needs to make their security work for them, without a lot of hassle or deep knowledge. We created a product that’s painless to deploy and simple to manage, for security that’s always up to date. The reviews from customers, partners and industry analysts show that we’re taking the right approach.
We saw great momentum in our Channel
We recommitted ourselves in 2013 to being a channel-first company and we always put our Partners at the forefront of everything we do. In 2013, we simplified our system of pricing and ordering to make it easier for our Partners to sell our products. And our Partner Program is experiencing tremendous growth. We launched an industry-first MSP program and brought more than 1,600 new Partners on board. The channel community recognized our work by naming us Security Vendor of the Year in both the UK and in DACH.
Our best-in-class products garnered top industry awards
We don’t like to boast, but our products continued to rack up awards and stellar reviews from top industry analysts like Gartner and respected publications such as AV-Comparatives. To name but a few accolades, we were recognized as Leaders by Gartner in three Magic Quadrants: for Unified Threat Management, Endpoint Protection and Mobile Data Protection. Meanwhile, Sophos Mobile Control, Sophos Endpoint Protection and Sophos Mobile Security for Android led the way with several awards.
Our SophosLabs shared ground-breaking new research
Our products keep our customers safe thanks to the leading-edge research and up-to-the-minute intelligence provided by our analysts at SophosLabs. We showed our leadership by sharing our research at industry conferences like the Virus Bulletin 2013 conference in Berlin.
