The independent testers at AV-Test recently gave high marks to our free mobile security app for Android smartphones and tablets, Sophos Mobile Security. In a side-by-side comparison with similar products from dozens of other vendors, we passed the test with flying colors.
In a battery of tests back in July, AV-Test examined our Sophos Mobile Security version 2.5, giving it a rating of 5 out of 6 for protection and 6 out of 6 for usability. By the way, earlier this month we released Sophos Mobile Security 3.0, with new features and improved performance.
You can see the test results at the AV-Test website. Or check out the write-up about the test posted on ZDNet. You should note that since the time of this test, we’ve added web protection against phishing and malicious websites in Sophos Mobile Security 3.0.
The newest release of our popular Android app has also caught the attention of the trade press. Some distinguished industry websites covered the release earlier this month, including eWeek, ThinkDigit and Stuff.co.nz.
